This unit was a great distraction to painting my Dwarves. It's such a lovely feeling finishing a batch paint and I'm really happy to have finished this unit. Like the rest of the models I'm painting from the classic Tyranid Attack boxed game, I've painted these in a bright, traditional manner. They're not great to look at up close individually, but as a group I think they're ok. For my Tyranid Attack project I only have three Tyranid Warriors with Deathspitters left to paint.

ReplyDeleteI think you have it right. Display pieces need to be incredible, but army projects are more than the sum of the're parts. Tactics be damned! Distract your opponent with pretty minis and you're sure to win right? Maybe that's why I always lose...Oh well, at least I look good dying ;)

ReplyDeletei still have the old citadel round pots of Worm Purple and Imperial Purple for when i did my originals. it was a while ago mind and they didn't quite look like yours ;)
